SAINT FRANCIS’ WOOD IN ASSISI IS WAITING FOR YOU!

In Assisi (PG) the Bosco di San Francesco ( Saint Francis’ Wood) reopens to the public, an intact piece of Umbrian landscape where harmony and silence reign supreme at the foot of the grandiose Basilica of San Francesco. Donated to FAI by Intesa Sanpaolo in 2008, these 64 hectares of woods with over 800 years of history offer the visitor not a simple excursion but a true experience of the spirit, a new form of pilgrimage in history, between woods and cultivated fields, walls of pink stone, clearings and olive groves, entirely recovered by the Foundation and from the top of an ancient tower-factory it is possible to admire the land art work of Michelangelo Pistoletto Terzo Paradiso.
